Bachelor of Arts in English and English Language Teaching 2025 - The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - Department of Language Studies

Application for Admission of Students to the following Degree Programmes (Courses) 2024/2025

Admission Requirements:

  • Passed the OUSL Diploma in English Language & Literature (application required)
  • Possess a National Diploma in Teaching English (ESL) of 2 years' duration from a National College of Education (NCOE)
  • Possess any other recognized 2-year Teacher Training Qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language acceptable to the OUSL Senate
  • Passed three (03) subjects (including English Literature) at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination or equivalent qualification

Additional Requirements:

  • All applicants except those who passed the OUSL Diploma in English Language and Literature are required to pass a selection test conducted by the Department of Language Studies.

  • Online Application Fee: Rs. 750/-
  • Closing Date of Application: 30th December 2024
  • Duration: 4 Years
  • Selection Test: 23rd February 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at all 09 Regional Centres.

Payment:

  • Online application fee can be paid using a debit/credit card.
  • Can make the payment in cash to Regional/Study Centres of OUSL.
